Welcome to Alexander Krammer: Your host at Hotel Astoria
It is a great honor to welcome you to the Hotel Astoria.
Dear guests,
it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Hotel Astoria. As the owner and manager of the hotel, I personally want to ensure that your stay in Salzburg is an unforgettable experience. Let me offer you a glimpse of the treasures that await you in our hotel and its surroundings.
Hotel Astoria & Surroundings: An Oasis of Hospitality
Hotel Astoria offers you more than just accommodation. Here you will experience true hospitality that comes from the heart. Our dedicated staff is always ready to meet your needs and make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our comfortable rooms, hearty breakfast buffet and wide range of amenities are designed to make your stay unforgettable.
Maxglan: A look into the history of Salzburg
Our hotel is located in the charming district of Maxglan, which has a rich history and unique character. The name Maxglan is derived from St. Maximilian, a Roman martyr. Originally, the district bore the name “Maximilian an der Glan”, which was shortened over time to Maxglan. This neighborhood is not just a place to stay, but a time travel through the history of Salzburg.
The tradition of Stieglbrauerei: A taste of Salzburg
Maxglan is also home to the famous Stiegl brewery, which has stood for the highest art of brewing since 1492. In 1863, the brewery found its home in Maxglan-Riedenburg. The name of the Stieglbrauerei’s farm, Rochushof, commemorates St. Rochus, the patron saint of plague. The Stiegl brewery is a place where tradition and enjoyment meet. Here you can not only taste the award-winning beer, but also experience the Austrian tavern culture.
Fit Smartfood: health and pleasure combined
I recommend them FIT Smartfood, they have a selection of healthy and sustainable dishes prepared by a young and creative team. From fresh bowls to delicious wraps to juicy burgers, the menu is bubbling with indulgence and energy. The unique guest garden invites you to linger when the weather is nice, and the special events like #AFTERWORK Wednesday and #SUPERFEIN Friday provide entertainment and enjoyment.
The Mozart Cinema: A Time Travel through Film History
If you would like to take a journey into film history, I recommend a visit to “Das Mozartkino” in our partner hotel, the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu. Since 1905, films have flickered across the screen here, offering a nostalgic movie experience in the middle of Salzburg’s old town. As a guest at the Hotel Astoria you will receive a discounted entrance fee (6€) upon presentation of your room card. Experience the fascination of cinema and immerse yourself in a world of moving images.
Your stay at the Hotel Astoria: An invitation
I cordially invite you to experience Salzburg and its treasures in our hotel. Enjoy the culture, cuisine and hospitality of this charming city. My team and I always strive to make your stay unforgettable and exceed your expectations.
Sincerely,
Alexander Krammer
